Can anyone become a member?
You must show evidence of active [telemetry] research activity through affiliation with a university, government agency, or environmental consulting business (e.g., email address such as *.gov, agency website personnel listing, telemetry project proposal) to be approved as GLATOS Member and contributor.
What does enrolling as a member provide to me on the website?
The ability to zoom in to view greater detail on existing telemetry receiver deployment locations, access to a searchable tagging table to identify the owner of tags detected on your receivers, access to receiver deployment locations and schedules (for members with projects), access to tools, general information including FAQ, user manual, ability to download the data submission package, ability to create new projects and maintain existing projects as well as authorize other individuals to access your projects, access to an archive of all past submissions for projects you own or are authorized to access.
Are there costs associated with GLATOS membership?
No. In fact, some vendors offer discounts on equipment to GLATOS members.
