Project Description

Approximately 30 adult size lake whitefish will be tagged annually with V13 or V16 transmitters (some with pressure sensors) during the fall spawning aggregation. A subset of individuals will be fitted with AlphaMach 'ocean' trisket data loggers to record depth and temperature. In 2023, monthly samples of lake whitefish will be obtained from a commercial fisher, used to generate data on growth, condition, energy density, diet, stable isotopes, fatty acids, and mercury.
